Creativity has been and always will be at the forefront of who we are and what we offer as a brand. It inspires our ideas, the way we approach our work and how we connect to our fellow Do.Uppers. That’s why it’s one of our core values.
Do.Up was born out of creativity! Two creative individuals came together (that’s us!) and it was home décor love at first sight. We wanted to bring something unique and special to home hardware because personalised interior design was (and still is!) a happy place for us.
As self-proclaimed dabblers in upcycling (hence sustainability being another important value in our brand!), we recognised that there was no cabinet hardware that stood apart from the stereotypical knob and handle on the market. Nothing inspired or spoke to the individual preferences and personalities! “Why the heck not!?”, we said. So we did something about it.
There’s an underrated creative magic in cabinet hardware
We firmly believe that cabinet hardware is a truly underrated décor piece that can turn an ordinary dresser or cupboard door into something extraordinary! Something that reflects your own personal flair and creative spark. Motivated by the spark within us, we source unique, one-of-a-kind small décor and home hardware pieces from around the globe. The kind of pieces that spark creativity and ignite ideas for customers and their home styling.

When our product development team designs our new home hardware collections. When we liaise with our incredible artisans from all over the world. When we have the pleasure and honour of showcasing their craft and wonderfully creative cabinet hardware and small decor pieces…pieces that have majoritively been made by hand, by the way. Now that is a special kind of creative touch! How lucky are we to be able to celebrate all of that!?
And what touches us, even more, is when we get to see our Do.Uppers’ DIY or renovation projects come to life! Wall hooks used to showcase art and jewellery, fully upcycled dressers or bathroom vanities, and even curtain tie backs can add extra flair and personality. The creative options are endless! Seeing how they used and styled our home hardware products in their unique and wildly creative ways – and the joy that it brings them – is pretty darn magical.

Everyone has creativity within them.
You just have to give yourself permission to find it! It’s important to remember that creativity doesn’t always have to reflect massive things (like a fully designed home ready to be on a reality tv show!). Creativity can simply be incorporating little pieces, a knob, a throw, a piece of art. Those little pieces that speak to you, reflect you and bring you joy.
